My trick to remember the major scales

It is from a musical point of view not the perfect way of doing it, but this is how I memorized the major scales. As you can see in the image the scale layout for the different modes is always the same it only moves up or down on the fretboard.

I learned when I started to learn scales the Aeolian scale by heart (as this was accidently the first one I learned, so no special reason). All the others are a matter of moving up and down on your frets. Of course you have to keep the chord notes of your key in mind, as it can sound weird if you focus on the wrong notes. Therefor it is important to know your triads of the key/chord you focus on.

So I learned for myself when I want to play for example in C Phrygian mode then I pretend to play in F Aeolian but with the focus on the notes of C.

Is this the perfect way ? I guess not but it worked for me and nobody ever noticed :) so for me from a layout point of view :

C Ionian = A Aeolian = 3 frets down from root note (VI)
C Dorian = G Aeolian = 1 string down and 2 frets right from root note on E string (V)
C Phrygian = F Aeolian = 1 string down from root note on E string (IV)
C Lydian = E Aeolian = = 1 string down and 1 fret left from root note on E string (III)
C Mixolydian = D Aeolian = 2 frets up from root note (II)
C Aeolian = C Aeolian
C Locrian = B♭ Aeolian = 2 frets down from root note (bVII)
